Check out this review of my restorative yoga class at ISHTA Downtown on Rate Your Burn, then come on down! Lactic Addict rated the class at four-bars-I-would-go-back, and said:

I feel Restored, but I'd Drop and Give Her 20 if She Asked. Shell means business. Pitch black hair, covered in tats, doesn’t smile much. She runs a purposeful class, using copious props, moving us from pose to pose every 3-5 minutes. I liked the structure, and thoroughly enjoyed the class once as I embraced her stern style.

It's a time when the weather is windy, the air is dry, the leaves begin to change color and drop to the ground. Life can also become busier at this time of year. Kids return to school, our lives often begin to ramp up with a busy schedule. You can feel at times like a left yourself being blown from one thing to the next.

Take care of yourself by warming the body up with nourishing soups, cooked vegetables and stews. Wake up with a nice hot bowl of oatmeal or warm cereal. Take time to rest and calm the body with restorative yoga and meditation. Feed the skin by massaging oils essential oils into the face and body after a shower to keep the layers of skin moist and rejuvenated. Calm the body and mind by getting a massage or even doing a daily self massage with sesame oil to ground you. Take a trip to my favorite ayurvedic spa and clinic, Pratima Skincare in Soho! Check out more advice on how to survive Vata Season on their website at www.pratimaspa.com or www.pratimaskincare.com.
